Jiajia Zhang's artistic practice engages with the entanglements of identity, language, and the structures of urban life. In her installations, she combines digital imagery with physical objects, creating subtle and nuanced reflections on contemporary experience. In her work You left something behind, a heart-shaped padlock engraved with this phrase points to both emotional and commercial meanings. What initially sounds like a gentle gesture of care simulta- neously echoes the language of online retail reminders about abandoned shopping baskets. Beneath this veneer of attentiveness lies a more unsettling truth: our actions in digital space are constantly monitored, recorded, and analyzed. Digital platforms shape our desires, habits, and behaviors—seemingly softly, yet always under watchful observation. The lock alludes to urban space and the human desire to leave a lasting mark within it. At the same time, the work reflects on how personal expressions inevitably enter and transform public space.

Lucia Elena Průša creates works that examine socio-cultural concepts such as language, time and space as factors of mental and physical perceptibility. Through the practice of de/reconstruction, the artist‘s works explore structural systems and social constructs in which categorizations are carnivalized. The exhibited object loosens the entanglement of the body with technology—a prosthetic device that slips beyond meaning.

In the work Schere Klasse Kapital, image and text unfold in mirrored rhythms. In words borrowed from economic and social theory, a poem speaks of modern myths and narratives. It speaks of inherited architectures: structures of wealth, of belief, of effort rendered invisible. Two cities emerge through a crystal ball, one in color, the other negative. A gaze from another world, into another version of time. Public space becomes a stage where systems of power, aspiration, and disillusionment silently perform and compete. The rhythm belongs to the architecture.
